ITALY, PARTNER COUNTRY AT THE SUMMER FANCY FOOD SHOW 2022

Record-breaking Italy, once again Fancy Food partner, no one has ever received this recognition.

Summer Fancy Food Show, June 12 – 14, 2022, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, New York

Italy’s achievement is an absolute first, no one has ever received this recognition from the Specialty Food Association, the show’s owner and producer.

The Specialty Food Association is the largest food network in the United States, founded in 1952 in New York, by importers and entrepreneurs. It is a non-profit association with 3,000 members in the United States and abroad.

The Fancy Food Show is the largest trade event dedicated to specialty foods in North America and many insiders consider the summer show in New York to be among the top food trade shows on a global level.

Through its most important and famous event, dedicated to food and agriculture products, the United States is once again showing all their passion and esteem for the Made in Italy food and beverage world.

Today, in a scenario of growing change in consumers’ eating habits and in the supply chain, being a SFF Partner Country is a great recognition, both for genuine Italian products and for Italian companies whose dedication and skills contribute to lending credibility and status to the entire sector.

A unique opportunity for those Italian companies that will participate in this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show in New York, which is back after three years, due to a forced break caused by the pandemic.

There are so many special initiatives planned for this 2022 edition, where Italy will be the absolute star of the show, the whole Italian pavilion on Level 3 of the trade show, a dedicated communication by the show’s management which will be a great support for all the Made in Italy participants who will be in New York in June.

So many initiatives and opportunities for starting up again, increasingly dedicated to the great Italian product.

We are enthusiastic to have Italy, once again, as a partner country for the Summer Fancy Food Show, and we expect this 2022 edition to be sold out,” stated Bill Lynch, President of the Specialty Food Association. “We will have buyers and visitors from all over the world.

Innovation will again be the star of our show.

We will offer different attractions: from the Incubator Village to the pavilion dedicated to Startups, and the indispensable event dedicated to the 2022 SoFi award winners.

Innovation and new trends, and for the SFA Trendspotter, the star for 2022 will be pasta, “Pasta’s Comeback,” thus putting Italy once again at the center of attention. Consumers are very interested in vegetable-based foods and Italy is on the cutting edge of this sector. Italy offers products that are perfectly in keeping with Americans’ new food trends.

It gives me immense pleasure to be here again, after 3 long years of absence, and welcome everyone to an Italian exhibition area as vast and as beautiful as ever, if not more so – declares Antonino Laspina, director of the ICE Agency in New York and coordinator of the USA network

We are back with the same uniquely exceptional products and with more enthusiasm and ambition to be the best we can be. Italy has suffered but never gave up. The food manufacturers were producing during the hardest of times looking forward to this time when the Tricolor is, again, at the top.

For the first time at the Fancy Food shows, this edition we welcome Coldiretti as partner in presenting the best of Italy: with one million and a half members, Coldiretti is the major organization representing agricultural entrepreneurs at national and European level. At the Coldiretti space at the show, people will be able to listen to lectures on the most ardent topics of the authentic Italian food products, as well as taste exquisite authentic Italian dishes prepared on site by experienced Italian chefs.

This Summer edition, we are extremely proud to have been nominated Partner Country of the Specialty Food Association. It is the recognition of our long-standing partnership, collaboration and friendship.

Being Partner Country – concludes Antonino Laspina – is a challenge and we are up to it. To visit the Italian area is a journey through Italy’s regions, from the strong olive oils of the South to the grainy cheeses of the North, from the pasta near the volcanoes to the fragrant cookies from the land of landmarks and statues. Nowhere else will you find such variety, diversity in ingredients, freshness, healty qualities and, above all, what we like to call the inimitable Taste of Italy.

We are happy to finally say it again: Welcome back to Italy!

Finally, we’ll be back in New York!” declared Donato Cinelli, President of Universal Marketing, the exclusive agent for Italy of the Specialty Food Association, “and we are coming back as major players, with Italy as Partner Country of the 2022 Summer Fancy Food Show,” Cinelli continued, “illustrating how important and strategic Italy’s role is, now more than ever, in the most important food and agriculture trade show in the United States.

Italian companies have clearly chosen Fancy Food, and we are happy about this, because for more than thirty years as Universal Marketing, we have focused a great deal of resources on this American event, convinced of the exhibit’s great potential.

Membership requests have wonderfully sold out,” concluded Cinelli, “a great moment of starting up again, this is the best response to our vision and foresight.”
